 The #79 sprint car team is making preparation for another season of racing across Ontario. Piloted by Dick Mahoney of Newmarket, Ontario the 2009 version of the 'Purple People-Eater' is nearing completion and ready to hit the track. After a solid sixth place finish in the '08 Southern Ontario Sprints standings the team is preparing for an all out attack on this season title.
Dick and the #79 team welcome back Clintar Groundkeeping Services at its primary sponsor. The team this year is proud to announce a new partnership with Blue Beacon Truck Washes as well as Fram Filters and Black's Transport. Rejoining the team in 2009 as associate sponsors are RBM Carriers, Jackson Transport, Ultra Shield, Fairway Transport, Beaberbuilt Chassis Repair, Print Express, Simpson Racewear, Kenetic Photos, ImageFactor.ca, Mac's Welding, Colin Still Attorney at Law, Kinser Air Filters and MP Engines.
The season revs into top speed on Saturday May 9th as the Southern Ontario Sprints open their 14th season at the tight bullring in Brighton. Race time at the Brighton Speedway is 7pm.
