The
Southern Ontario Sprints wrapped
up its 2007 season with the SOS
Championship Invitational.
Although rain threatened to
postpone the event track officials
managed to get the speedway ready
for a late night start.
For
Dick Mahoney the win during the
Labour Day Classic Weekend at
Brighton seemed to create some
momentum. Friday night Dick looked
strong again as he finished second
in his heat behind eventual
champion Glenn Styres.
In
the feature there was plenty of
passing and action but for Mahoney
when the 25 laps were over he
found himself right back into the
sixth starting spot where he
started. The solid finish to the
season moved the team into 6th in
the final SOS standings for 2007.
