The
Southern Ontario Sprints ran their
final double header weekend of the
season this past weekend at the
Brighton Speedway. It was the
annual SOS Labour Day Classic
Weekend and for Mahoney Racing it
was a weekend to remember.
On
Saturday night almost every time
the #79 was on track it was in
victory lane. Dick came out and
won his 8 lap heat race and
finished second behind son Warren
in the Black's Transport Dash for
Cash. Dick would then start second
in the 20 lap feature and go on to
claim victory in convincing style
by leading every lap.
Sunday
night was another strong one for
Dick. He picked up a fourth in his
heat race and held on for a fifth
in the main event. The solid
weekend moved Dick up to 7th in
the overall standings with one
race to go on the 2007 tour.
Dick
and the #79 team will return to
action on Friday September
7th at the Ohsweken Speedway for the SOS
Championship Invitational. For
