Mahoney joined the Southern
Ontario Sprints for their final
visit of 2006 to the Humberstone
Speedway in Port Colborne,
Ontario.
So
far this year it had been rough
sailing at the 1/3 mile track
after a DNF on May 21st and a 14th
place finish there on June 18th.
Things
started out much better this time
around for Mahoney. He
finished second in his 8 lap
qualifying heat behind winner Tom
Huppunen.
In
the feature the #79 wouldn't fair
so well though as he could only
manage a 20th place finish with a
damaged nose wing. Dick did
however keep himself in the top
ten in SOS points with just 4
races remaining on the 2006 tour.

26th for their final to the
