The
Southern Ontario Sprints ran two
events this past weekend as the
2007 season slowly draws to a
close.
Friday
night the teams headed to the
newly renovated Ohsweken Speedway
and put on a top notch show. For
Dick Mahoney and crew it was not
the night they had hoped for with
a fourth in the heat race and a
fourteenth in the A-Main.
Saturday
night the SOS returned to the
Brighton Speedway where things
looked to be much better for the
'Pig'. He was quick off the truck
and finished second in his heat
behind Rick Wilson. He would
back that up with the same results
behind the same driver in the Dash
for Cash. Come feature time
however the #79 struggled and
would finish the evening in fifteenth.
Dick did however manage to move
into eighth in the overall tour
standings with just three races
remaining on the season.
Dick
and the #79 team will return to
action on Saturday September 1st
and Sunday September 2nd at the Brighton
Speedway for the SOS Labour Day
Classic Weekend. For
