After
a wild crash the week before at
the Brighton Speedway Dick Mahoney
and the #79 team were back in
action at the South Buxton Raceway
near Chatham, Ontario.
The
teams primary chassis was sent to
Beaberbuilt for repairs after the
wreck which meant the back up
chassis, better known as Lefty,
was called back to duty. Things
didn't go as planned though for
the #79 team. In the warm up
session the team struggled with
top wing and throttle linkage
issues. In the end Dick was
unable to finish his heat or his
feature. The mixed matched
car came home 8th in the 8 lap
heat and 21st in the 20 lap
A-Main.
Dick Mahoney and the #79 team
will have a couple of weeks to get back into
top form. The SOS get back into
action on Friday July 28th at the
Ohsweken Speedway in Ohsweken, Ontario. |
