 The
Southern Ontario Sprints returned
to action on Saturday night at the
Brighton Speedway. The night was
sponsored by Clintar
Groundskeeping Services which made
the event extra special for both
Dick and Warren Mahoney.
The
night got off to a fantastic start
for both father and son. In heat
three Dick and Warren pulled out
to the front of the field and
finished on top. Dick captured the
win while Warren was second. It
was a popular win among the many
representatives from Clintar that
were on hand for the evening.
In
the A-main things would go from
good to bad for Dick. After
starting third in the 20 lap
finale the #79 team would end up
with serious problems and end up
23rd in the 24 car field. Joe
Middlemiss went on to win his
first career sprint car race over
Rick Wilson. Warren Mahoney
finished a solid fifth.
Dick
and the #79 team will return to
action on Saturday July 14th at the
South Buxton Raceway. For
