Wraps Up SOS Season At Labour Day Classic |

Dick
Mahoney and the #79 had a busy couple of weeks in the
pits especially when it came to wing assembly. On
Friday, August 26th Humberstone Speedway hosted the
first ever Ontario Topless Sprints event. Dick showed
up for the event and came home with a 4th place
finish.
The team then strapped the wing back in place
for the SOS Labour Day Classic Weekend at Brighton. On
Saturday at Brighton, Dick finished 4th in his heat
and 17th in the feature after troubles ended his night
early.
On championship night Dick once again finished
4th in his 8 lap heat, but would again find trouble in
the feature race when the #79 made contact with the
frontstretch wall. The wreck would end Dick's night
and his 2011 season with a 19th place finish.
The SOS then hosted an exhibition wingless
race, however due to damage Dick was unable to
compete.
Dick and the #79 team ended the season 7th in
SOS points. The team would like to thank RBM Carriers,
Load Surfer, Blue Beacon Truck Washes, Carlisle
Customz, Jackson Transport, Fairway Transport, Ultra
Shield, Mac's Welding, Beaberbuilt, Kinser Air
Filters, Simpson, Black's Transport, MP Engines and
Colin Still Attorney At Law for their support
throughout 2011.
